Growing cycles

A growing cycle represents a specific crop grown according to a selected cultivation plan in a particular section. It connects the crop, variety, current stage, cultivation plan, and transition history.

What a cycle connects

One active cycle provides context for:

• the facility registry;
• the monitoring table;
• tasks;
• climate;
• analytics;
• targets for the current cultivation-plan stage.

Creating a cycle

When creating a cycle, select the facility, crop and variety, cultivation plan, and current stage. If cultivation has not started yet, you can omit the stage and select it later. A cycle name is suggested automatically, but you can change it during creation.

The active-cycle card shows the crop, cultivation plan, current stage, and an estimated harvest date when it can be calculated from the plan stages.

Statuses

• Active — the cycle is part of current operations.
• Completed — the cycle is no longer shown among active cycles.

Growing cycles do not have paused or draft states.

Completing a cycle

Completion cannot be undone. Active registry rows for the cycle are moved to a read-only archive when the registry contains data. The section and its related current screens are no longer shown as active.

There is currently no separate user-facing archive for tasks or monitoring tables from completed cycles. Before confirming, make sure that all current work is finished.
