Initial Gros.farm setup

The basic setup begins with an organization and a facility, followed by a cultivation plan, a growing cycle, the team, and data sources.

1. Create an organization

After registering, create your farm organization. It will contain facilities, users, roles, cultivation plans, and production data.

2. Add a facility

A facility represents a physical production area. Enter a clear name and its coordinates. Coordinates help the system determine the time zone and use sunrise, sunset, and weather data.

3. Check the day and night schedule

You can use the natural cycle derived from the facility coordinates or set times manually. In indoor production, the schedule often differs from natural sunrise and sunset.

4. Select a crop and cultivation plan

Choose a ready-made cultivation plan or adapt a template to your farm’s conditions. Review its stages, targets, and tasks before using it.

5. Create a growing cycle

Connect the crop, cultivation plan, and current stage to a specific section. The cycle then becomes the shared context for the registry, monitoring, tasks, climate, and analytics.

6. Add the team and data

Invite team members and experts, configure metrics, and connect local automation if needed. You can also start with manual input: sensors are not required for every workflow.

Next: invite your team and learn about growing cycles.
