SCADA, sensors, and internet connectivity

Does Gros.farm replace SCADA?

No. Gros.farm adds a technology and information layer, while the local SCADA, PLC, or controllers remain responsible for physical operation and safety.

Are sensors required?

Not for every workflow. Some data can be entered manually or received from external services. Automated scenarios require suitable and correctly configured data sources.

What should I do after connecting a sensor?

Connect it to the correct metric and production context. The same measurement type may belong to different facilities or sections.

What happens without internet connectivity?

Local automation and configured protective scenarios should continue to operate. Cloud features, remote setting changes, and synchronization may be temporarily unavailable.

Is every type of equipment compatible?

No. Compatibility depends on the local control node, protocol, and wiring diagram. Requirements must be confirmed before installation.
